The border between internal and external spaces are more and more ephemeral, like the differences between furnishings for the interior and those that refer, instead, to the universe of the street and the garden: this is the idea taht guides Bevilacqua Architects through the formal investigation for the project of the new store Maria Luisa Rocchi Flowers, located in Rome, under the arcade of Piazza Euclide.
The feeling of space continuity between inside and outside is amplified by the long and continuous storefronts, the mirrors and the double entrance: the one on the square and the other on Via Chelini.
A modern environment with an industrial sign that enclose a strict creative research about the experimentation and contamination of materials: natural and artificial elements are combined to evoke and suggest international styles and languages.
The space as metaphor of an evocative path that organize three large environments representing emblematically the market, the course and the greenhouse.
The course is symbolized by a long brass wall, that go through the entire space, cutting the shop and connecting the two entrances.
The hexagonal basalt floor is an element that wants to suggest the atmosphere of the street, highlighting an exhibition concept completely different from the traditional shop, closer instead to the exposure on the market stalls: a public space, an urban square enclosed in an interior space. In this ambience, on big green banks, are exposed visible floral creation, vases and furnishing accessories.
The third emblematic area, the greenhouse, stands beyond the threading of the counter. A big window that delimits the exhibition space from the one in which the fundamental phases of the work take place: in this area there is the heart of the preparation, among scissors, shears, gloves and stone basins that bring us back to the memory of the ancient wash houses.
Born from the deep passion of Maria Luisa, who has been able to transform the love for flowers into a real profession, Maria Luisa Rocchi Flowers, harmonizing the complex relationship between decoration and functionality, revolutionizes the traditional concept of the store, immersing the customer in a completely new social and relational space.

Maria Luisa Rocchi Flowers – italiano

Sono sempre più labili i confini tra spazi interni ed esterni e sempre più sottili le differenze estetiche e funzionali tra gli arredi destinati all’interior e quelli che rimandano, invece, all’universo della strada, del giardino: è questa l’idea che guida Bevilacqua Architects attraverso la ricerca formale per il progetto del nuovo negozio Maria Luisa Rocchi Flowers, che sorge sotto ai portici di Piazza Euclide a Roma.
La sensazione di continuità tra interno ed esterno viene amplificata dalle lunghe e continue vetrine, dagli specchi e dal doppio ingresso, uno sulla piazza e uno su via Chelini.
Un ambiente moderno dal segno industriale, ma in cui è visibile una rigorosa ricerca creativa nella sperimentazione e nella contaminazione tra materiali naturali e artificiali, rievocando linguaggi e stili internazionali.
Lo spazio come metafora di un percorso evocativo che organizza tre ambienti spaziosi che rappresentano emblematicamente il mercato, il corso e la serra.
Il corso è simboleggiato da una lunga parete di ottone, che attraversa l’intero negozio connettendo le due entrate.
Il pavimento esagonale in basalto è un elemento che suggerisce l’atmosfera della strada, evidenziando una concezione espositiva che si distacca completamente dalla tradizione della bottega e si avvicina piuttosto a quella del mercato: uno spazio pubblico, una piazza urbana racchiusa in uno spazio interno. E’ qui che su dei grandi banchi verdi sono esposte le creazioni e le scenografie floreali, vasi e diversi complementi d’arredo.
La terza area emblematica, la serra, si trova oltre l’infilata di banconi. Una grande vetrata delimita lo spazio espositivo da quello in cui avvengono le fasi fondamentali della lavorazione: in questa zona si entra nel vivo della preparazione, tra forbici, cesoie, guanti e vasche in pietra che ci riportano al ricordo degli antichi lavatoi.
Nato dalla profonda passione di Maria Luisa che ha saputo trasformare l’amore per i fiori in una vera professione, Maria Luisa Rocchi Flowers, armonizzando il complesso rapporto tra decorazione e funzionalità, rivoluziona l’idea di negozio, immergendo il cliente in uno spazio sociale e relazionale completamente nuovo.
