Life On Mars, Dimore Gallery

← Back to the Portfolio

DIMOREGALLERY continues its journey of collaboration and networking among the players in the world of art and design, that began almost two years ago. After collaborating with Galleria Luisa delle Piane, with an exchange and sharing of spaces and views for the event Occupazione, Dimore Gallery presents Life on Mars, an exhibition whose protagonists are seven young and talented designers, different amongst themselves but united according to what the founders of the gallery, Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, see as an eye to the future, whether it is through materials, processes, method of use or aesthetic impact. A path of settings that combine contemporary creations of these seven designers with timeless pieces of furniture of design history in a harmonious contrast of shapes and colors, at first impact futuristic. Experimentation in production techniques, the reuse of objects and materials and their consequent recontextualization, give new life to objects of domestic use in some cases or purely decorative in others. An interdisciplinary exchange of perspectives and visions, the result of dialogue between the gallery and the designers and the freedom to cross contaminate.
